Check the address before arranging curb space
A Culver City mailing address is a useful starting point, but confirm which city controls the actual loading location before applying for street space. The City of Culver City’s moving-truck permit guidance specifically asks applicants to verify the property and parking location within its jurisdiction. That avoids planning around the wrong permit process.
When a truck needs reserved parking, review the current city application and notice requirements. Have the vehicle dimensions and the intended loading position ready. We can discuss the truck information with you, while your building manager can clarify any private loading area. Public street access and a building reservation are separate arrangements.
Look beyond the lobby
For a condo or apartment, ask which entrance movers must use. The most attractive entrance may not be the practical route for a sofa or a large number of boxes. Share service-elevator dimensions, corridor length, loading-bay restrictions, and the walk between the truck and elevator.
If the move is into a house, tell us about steps, gates, narrow side passages, or a driveway that may be occupied on the day. Clear the intended path before the crew arrives. Photos let us discuss these details without guessing from a bedroom count.
Make the packing choice early
Some customers want help only with delicate kitchen items; others need the entire home packed. Tell us which option fits your move and what packing supplies you already have. Basic packing assistance is included in the movers’ billed time, while a larger packing scope is arranged separately.
The calculator uses a $160–$240 allowance for kitchen packing and 45–55% of the moving labor range for full packing. These numbers help you compare options. They do not replace a discussion of the contents, materials, and work required at your address.
Know the moving rate before booking
Our truck-inclusive rates are $89/hour for 2 movers, $129/hour for 3, and $169/hour for 4. The standard minimum is 3 hours. Fuel is included, and billing continues in 15-minute increments after the minimum. We send pricing and the moving plan by text so the terms are available to review.
Loading, unloading, standard furniture assembly, blankets, tape, and shrink wrap are included. Stairs and carries up to 75 feet have no separate surcharge, though they can take additional time. Let us know about pianos, unusually heavy pieces, or a longer carry before accepting a quote.
Coordinate the destination as carefully as the pickup
A short route to another Westside neighborhood may still have a restrictive delivery window. Confirm when keys are available and who can authorize building access. Include a storage stop or furniture pickup in the original request so the plan accounts for every location.
Actual driving between the pickup and delivery addresses is counted twice for our local household moves. The online calculator uses an allowance, not a traffic forecast. Our background-checked W-2 crew works to a confirmed arrival window, with 10% off if we arrive after it. Call (213) 222-5712 to discuss your Culver City move and get the remaining details clear before moving day.
