Plan the curb before the boxes
In West Hollywood, a nearby parking space can make a meaningful difference to the moving day. An apartment may be close to the street but still have a narrow entrance, courtyard, or shared passage between the truck and the front door. Give us the full pickup address and describe where loading can happen. A photograph from the curb toward the entrance is often more helpful than a photograph of the apartment itself.
The City of West Hollywood has a dedicated moving-permit process. Check the current city instructions when planning use of street space, and distinguish a parking permit from a reserved loading area. Requirements and lead times can change. We discuss the truck and access details with you so you can request the right arrangement for your specific address.
Apartments, stairs, and elevator windows
Tell us whether the move involves a walk-up, an elevator building, or a home with internal stairs. Include the number of flights, tight corners, and the size of the elevator doorway. A sofa that fits the apartment entrance may still be difficult to turn on a landing. Flag that early rather than waiting until loading starts.
For managed buildings, ask about permitted moving hours, elevator reservations, loading entrances, and certificates of insurance. Send the actual instructions to our office. If your destination is in another city, check that building independently; an arrangement at the first address does not settle access at the second.
A useful West Hollywood moving budget
Two movers and a truck cost $2.50 per billable minute for the first 180 minutes, then $2.15 per additional minute. Three movers: $3.40 then $2.90; four movers: $4.30 then $3.65. No 3-hour minimum. One-minute billing. Fuel included. We confirm rates and scope by text before moving day.
The calculator uses the work minutes and actual one-way driving minutes you enter. It doubles driving automatically and applies the lower rate only after 180 billable minutes. It illustrates pricing; it does not predict the duration of your move.
What we can handle during the move
Loading, unloading, standard furniture disassembly and reassembly, and basic packing help are included in billed time. Moving blankets, tape, and shrink wrap are included. Stairs and long carries have no separate access surcharge. Tell us about unusually heavy items or a longer carry so the plan reflects them.
If you want kitchen or full-home packing, identify that when requesting the quote. A packing appointment and a moving appointment may require different schedules. Keep medication, valuables, important documents, and keys with you, and mark anything that should remain at the old address.
From West Hollywood to your next neighborhood
A move to Glendale, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, or another part of LA needs a plan for both loading and delivery. Share any stop at storage and the facility’s access hours. Actual driving time between addresses counts twice for our local household moves, separately from the on-site work.
Call (213) 222-5712 or use the quote form with your ZIP codes, home size, and preferred date. Our background-checked W-2 crew works to the confirmed arrival window. If your crew arrives after the confirmed arrival window, you receive 10% off the total billable amount for that move. We discuss farther routes individually, so tell us where you are headed even if it is beyond our main area.
